On Saturday, a deadly tornado outbreak in Oklahoma caused damage and led to calls for cover as severe weather continued to batter the state. According to the National Weather Service, at least two people, including an infant, have died as a result of the tornadoes.

"Our hearts are with those who have lost loved ones as tornadoes ripped through Oklahoma," Governor Kevin Stitt said in a statement. "We are doing everything we can to provide support and resources to affected communities.

The most severe tornado was an EF4 with winds of up to 170 mph that struck the town of Sulphur, causing significant damage to homes and businesses. Other tornadoes were reported in the counties of Grady, Garvin, and Stephens.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas until 10 pm CDT. Residents in these areas are urged to remain weather aware and to take cover if a tornado warning is issued.
